Hehe, being an ass aside, no the actor who did the Ernest movies was Jim Varney.
Ernest Scared Stupid was my favorite one. :P

Funny you actually mention Ernest because ironically Tyler Perry is actually more a black version of Jim varney than he is kevin smith LOL
