Lights Out : definitely does not deserve 6.5

definitely does not deserve 6.5

it was so boring. it deserves 4.5 at most

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

6.5 is hair too low IMO. I didn't find it boring at all.
Maybe they'll add an explosion or two in the sequel (prequel?) for you.

"Yeah, I know I'm being snarky for no reason."

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

I'd give it higher than a 6.5, for a horror movie and within the genre. I thought it was really quite good. Obviously a movie like this has a lot of jump scares and builds tension. I actually thought the action started early and held my attention throughout.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

How did this movie get positive reviews? It's just like every other dime-a-dozen horror flick. Maria Bello (who I generally don't like) and Teresa Palmer are the only saving grace for this generic movie.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

I give it 5/10.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

It's just all so cheap and predictable. You know what's going to happen way before it does, and it becomes tedious after a while. I swear half the footage was just people walking around various places slowly. The movie wasn't slow, it only seemed that way because of how obvious everything was.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

Gave it a 4, it was just so unoriginal and plain bad that anything higher would have felt wrong. The acting was all over the place and directing was from the 80's b-movies. Poor choice even for a halloween flick.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

I remember when IMDB didn't allow just anyone to rate films - and you got fairly accurate numbers. Now, something like this gets a 6.5 - more like a 3. Few scares, stupid plot AND a horribly predictable ending. Bleh.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

IT deserves a 5/10.

Utter mediocrity.

Re: definitely does not deserve 6.5

The 6.3 rating seems just right to me. That's above average for a horror movie on the IMDb.
