Collateral Beauty : I actually liked it….
Re: I actually liked it….
Glad to know someone is at least taking it for what it is. This is one that will receive so much unnecessary hate because it's "sappy sob story." I don't know what's particularly wrong with that, but then I'm again I'm not as critical as most people are and enjoy as soft-hearted fluff film.
And in this moment, I swear we are infinite.

Yea I don't know why people are trashing the movie so much. It may not be "life-changing" or an "Oscar-contender", but it was an enjoyable/intriguing film for me to watch. I actually thought about it after I left the theater and I like movies that make me think.
Funny, all the critics and cynicals bashed this film, but yet when I see posts from fans and other viewers on other message boards regarding this film, most people actually LOVED it! It's just so interesting that critics bashed it so much, when people who actually saw the movie (just regular-everyday people) actually didn't hate it at all. Idk if some critics hearts are just made of cement these days or what.
I think some people were taking the movie a bit more seriously than it was intended. To me I just viewed it as a holiday film that happens to center around death and grief. Nothing more, nothing less.
The acting was good in the film. I agree there were some things I would have done differently, but overall I liked it.
The twists and the ending especially touched me.

I don't think most of these hate-fueled posts are written by people who have actually seen the movie. Anyone saying the trailers aren't at all like the plot either did not get it,
or didn't finish watching it.

i loved it too ,,, just it was little incomplete
I actually liked it….
I don't understand the hate for this film. It wasn't the BEST movie I've ever seen, but overall I liked it.
I thought the acting was decent, it kept my interest, and it actually wasn't as much of a tear-jerker as I thought it was going to be. I thought the movie would send me through the ringer (based on the trailers), but actually it had some light-hearted moments. Even the audience laughed and chuckled at a few parts.
Will Smith was VERY believable in his role of a man dealing with grief over the death of his daughter, and having lost many loved ones to death in the past myself, I definitely felt his pain. I felt however like this movie could have been deeper and hit more hard (for example, I would have liked to have seen more flashbacks), but it didn't go there. But perhaps that wasn't really the point of the film.
I honestly don't think this movie was meant to be taken so seriously. I think it was just a holiday-themed movie surrounding the topic of death.nothing less, nothing more. I don't get the impression it was supposed to be this great masterpiece, so I don't know why people are dogging this movie so much.
The movie really wasn't that bad folks. I actually quite enjoyed it. It made me think afterwards, and the ending really touched me.
