The OA : Homer's Odyssey
Re: Homer's Odyssey
I cried at the end too. It was beautifully done.
Re: Homer's Odyssey
I cried at the end as well! I thought it was a wonderfully executed story and the actors were superb. I am happy with one season and wouldn't expect a second as others are hoping for.
Re: Homer's Odyssey
Haha, well! Hate to break it to you, but there's definitely a season 2, as of 2-3 days ago :P
Re: Homer's Odyssey
I sobbed as well. Watched the whole season over a day and a half. For me, the ending made the rest of the show worth watching. I'm disappointed at all the threads calling the ending crappy and predictable.

It's because their tiny brains got confused trying to make the show fit into their usual predictable genres and they thought it was a mystery show like LOST or some other crap.
They can't really understand character drama but hey, the show's been made and renewed so their loss.

The River Styx
Well it's not really an Odyssey reference, it's Greek mythology by and large
The Nymph Calypso (Renata)
Can you explain this? In the Odyssey, Calypso seduces and enchants Ulysses to keep him with her. How does that apply to Renata? She sleeps with Homer but?

Re: Homer's Odyssey
Well i was thinking it in terms of very loosely related references.
Kind of like "oh brother where art thou"
Im no expert on the topic, just wanted to know what others thought.
Shame we wont be able to discuss this further past the 20th of this month.

Homer's Odyssey
Its been many years since i have read (or was forced to read) Homer's Odyssey, Anyone else see the references? The River Styx, The Nymph Calypso (Renata). I had other references but i just finished binge watching the whole thing and im way too tired and blown away to remember them. Just thought id put this one out there to discuss.
