i doubt they would waste CGI money on that. I mean some shoe polish and TP would cost about 10 cents. it was an odd scene but i remember a joke redneck email that showed that same outdoor toilet so i know that is where that came from. i think the whole point was just to make ray seem like a disgusting trailer trash low life. and he did a great job except. he was in way too good of shape. he needed a beer gut and rotten teeth.

And this why the imdb message boards are closing.

He won a Golden Globe for that.

And the cop who was questioning him in that scene is nominated for an Academy Award.

Now having seen this movie, it pisses me off that Mahershala Ali didn't win the Golden Globe for Moonlight. I could have done without the toilet scene in this movie

But I like Michael Shannon's performance. Overall, I thought this was a good movie.
