Better Things : are teenage girls all c#nts

are teenage girls all c#nts

the girls piss me off, and if I was their parent I wouldn't handle not beating the *beep* out of all of them. I mean they got a great life with a f#@king maid. wtf is their problem. I get as a teenager you rebel but they are c#nts right to their mother and always side with their off screen father like dumb c#nts. I guess that's direction for the show is that your suppose to hate the girls but f#@k me are they raging c#nts. I guess I just don't understand why their mother doesn't beat the *beep* out of them, even if you don't agree on beating your children these kids would make you change your mind in a few days of their *beep*

Re: are teenage girls all c#nts

First, the way you choose to label teen girls is rather offensive. I see no reason for you to use the c word when talking about moody teens.

Secondly, teens, both boys and girls, are dealing with rising hormone levels while also dealing with trying to figure out their place in the world.

Thirdly, they're still adjusting to living without their dad. It seems as though the divorce is kind of fresh, not to mention the fact that their dad is in town but didn't want to see them (as per an episode or two ago).

Kids can be jerks just as easily as parents can be. Sassing their parents is normal, though I can honestly say my kids did very little of it simply because I didn't allow it in my home. That said, not every parent has that rule. And in the grand scheme of things, sassing me would have been the LEAST of the worst thing they could do. And better they do it at home than in public. My kids could speak their minds, dress however they wanted, and act like "kids" in the house. Once outside our walls, good manners and respect for others HAD to occur as they were representatives of our household.

In the end, what it comes down to is how a parent chooses to raise their kids is up to them. And I'm pretty sure YOUR mother would be mortified by you calling teen girls "c#*ts". But that's just a guess on my part

Re: are teenage girls all c#nts

Most teenagers are cnuts.

Re: are teenage girls all c#nts

cnuts + twats = twunts.

And yes, when you have an overly indulgent, lazy parent, these are the kind of frights you get. I'd hate to see what Adlon's real daughters are like.

Re: are teenage girls all c#nts

There is not one redeeming thing about any of the kids on this show and that fault lies squarely with the parents. Children today have it too easy, are given too much for no effort and believe it is their right to act like an adult whilst still being a dependant. Parents are responsible for both good and bad kids and should also be held accountable.

I disagree with this statement. But I'm probably in the minority. I actually think all three have shown plenty of redeeming qualities. The youngest is actually a pretty sweet little kid. She seems to adore her mother. The two older ones are teenage girls. Teenage girls in general are very often quite unpleasant. But I think they love their mother and their family. I think they are human beings. Flawed, struggling, not fully developed human beings.

I just don't find then that horrible or unlikable.

I certainly don't agree with many of her parenting decisions, but I think she's doing her best. By herself.

Motherhood is not for the weak

Not all, just the two older ones on this show. And the mother is to blame more than the kids.

Re: are teenage girls all c#nts

Agree.

The French have a saying: A wife is what a husband makes her. You can amend that to a mother gets the kind of children she has raised.

I don't know how much you watched but she admits she is failing miserably with Max and that she does not have the time to give Frankie the extra attention she needs. Hence, I think she gives them too much leeway.

I enjoy the show, it seems like a love letter to her daughters, the characters are all imperfect. It feels real.

Then again, I could not imagine being in her predicament.
