Kubo and the Two Strings : The sisters

I wonder what the evil sisters look like without their masks.

Yeah me too. They were underutilized and could have been more interesting. They were visually intriguing but they didn't go anywhere with them. We never really even get to see how they die either. We just assume they perished.

I bet they originally showed how they perished and probably their faces but had to cut them to maintain a PG rating.

What I find weird is that when Kubo breaks the lower pat of the second sisters mask showing her mouth she weirdly never talks at all, and only makes noises. Also judging on how they are sisters of Kubo's mom, there faces should look the same as Kubo's mom.

One question though - how did second sister die

exactly. why on earth did they fade to white at that point - again?

we don't even really know how the first sister died as the killing strike was not shownthe scene faded to white. again.

It's pretty obvious though. You see her mask split in half sinking in the ocean. Unbreakable sword cut her right in the center of her face.

When the second sister's mask was cracked in half and you could see her mouth, it looked relatively normal, just incredibly pale with blue-ish lips. I guess they might've had pure black eyes or something, but I never assumed they looked entirely inhuman under the masks

I kept being reminded of the wicked witch of the west from Oz when watching them. So I would picture them as having ghastly green faces.

haha I didn't even know they were wearing masks until I saw it crack! i kept wondering why do Kubo's mother's sisters look like that with frozen faces??
