I haven't seen all the nominees, but I'd definitely vote for "Hidden Figures" over "Lala Land".

I thought 'nocturnal animals' was actually much better then most of the other nomineesbut anyhow,for sure not 'la la land' - I just hate musicals.

There were so many great movies this year. I am still saying La La Land is the best, but if it doesn't win, then I say Manchester By The Sea.

Sing Street was amazing.
People didn't see it because it was a small, limited indie release that didn't get much marketing

I'm in the Philly area and I was surprised how long this little gem lasted in the theaters. You are correct. it was limited but it was like the little train that could around here.
I am so disappointed it didn't get a nomination for Best Song. I loved the music in LLL but there were several songs in SS that were just as memorable. Can you imagine how exciting and eye opening it would have been to see Drive It Like You Stole it performed live???

I'm also a huge fan of La La Land and think Audition should win for Best Song, though City of Stars will probably win. I liked Moana, and thought CAN'T STOP THE FEELING! was a fun song. Whatever the final nomination was for I listened to and didn't think very highly of it. But I loved Sing Street and thought Drive It Like You Stole It should have been nominated, and several other songs (To Find You, Up and Girls) being more worthy of nominations than several that did receive nominations. Oh well :(

I have mixed feelings. I was a Sing Street supporter(I hope you have seen it) If not SS then LLL all the way!!
