P.S. I Love You : "I can't breathe.."

Why does this happen when you feel like you're going to die from sadness? It's happened to me more times than I care to remember. What does breathing have to do with sadness and why does that happen? It's so weird and awful.

I'm not certain, but my guess is that it is akin to having a panic attack.
My heartbreaks felt a lot like my panic attacks. Not exactly the same, but similar enough.

I don't think I've ever had a panic attack but if that's what they feel like then that's awful . Plenty of heartbreaks and sad moments though..

You should watch the movie Dead Poets Society, then you know what 'I can't breath' actualy means.

I'm not sure what you mean but I'll put it on my list of movies to watch. I've been meaning to anyway.
