Hairspray : Has Nikki Blonsky has a quiet career?

It seems as though after Hairspray Nikki Blonsky's acting career has been rather quiet since she hasn't really done much besides a guest spot on Ugly Betty and a short lived series but I think she said that she will pursue her acting career again.

I know yeah, isnt she working in a hair salon now? People on twitter are going crazy about wanting to see her in Glee. I'm not a Glee fan but would like to see her do some more acting. I really liked her in Hairspray.

Rumor, but from a good source:

I live in the area where she originally came from. According to what I've heard, she cheated the guy who did her headshots/promotions before the movie by something like $30K. He tried to sue, she used the money from Hairspray to fight the lawsuit apparently, it got her a really bad name in the business, and no one wants to work with her anymore.

They are talking about cheating the person who did the Headshots out of money, not faking the pictures.

I know that's why!! Everything costs money!!!

Sadly, turns out she is a limited talent. She sings ok, can dance (sort of), but she's not really TV or film material. She's kind of plain-and that comment has nothing to do with her weight, which can also hold someone back in the business.
