Why was Patrick Jane not (allowed to be) present in the room when Rigsby and Van Pelt got married???
He just sneakily watched from behind a door. Anyone have an explanation for this?

Rigsby and VanPelt's wedding was 6x03.

While Jane was certainly allowed to be inside the ceremony, I believe he didn't enter to indicate to the audience how much he missed his own wife. He knew attending the ceremony would have been too emotional for him. However, he loved Rigsby and VanPelt, and he didn't want to entirely miss it, so he watched from afar.
