Adam Ruins Everything : Massive D Bag
Re: Massive D Bag
hes a overeducated slacker with no real world experience other than making *beep* smart ass youtube videos with college humor.
Re: Massive D Bag
If all these complaints are genuine it's hilarious that people still don't get he's playing a character/host.
It's like calling Dan Castellaneta an idiot because he plays Homer Simpson.
Your right to an opinion does not equal an opinion that is right

Re: Massive D Bag
What does he get wrong, some things might be misleading but at least most of the statements are being fact checked before putting them on show.
Re: Massive D Bag
The massive problem I have is a lack of any references. He tends to just say this is what wrong without a source or anything.
Re: Massive D Bag
He posts references with every statistic. In each episode, there are several times where the reference is given as he is speaking on that particular subject. They are posted with small white letters in the upper right corner. Granted, they are only on for a second or three, but they are there.
Re: Massive D Bag
The whole "tip system" is stupid and backward. Companies are allowed to pay employees less than a living wage because the customers are supposed to make up the difference? Bull. It needs to be put out to pasture. The price of the meal should include the price of the service.
In some countries outside the US, this "tip system" doesn't even exist. It's a dumb system that benefits the employer.
Shooting has started on my latest movie: http://www.imdb.com/board/15531336/

Nice to know I'm not the only one who's ever thought that. I've never understand why the hell waiters and waitresses can't be paid a living wage like anybody else the workforce. Especially since they have to bust their a**** day in and day out with, frankly, sometimes no guarantee that they will get all the tips they're earned, or even a full tip, for that matter (depending on what kind of establishment they work in.)

Re: Massive D Bag
I'm in California, where waiters are payed at least the state minimum wage, and I've always viewed tips as a bonus for giving me service above what is expected. If they just ignore me and are unhelpful, I'll leave a couple bucks, but if they extremely attentive and helpful, I've left extremely large tips as a thank you.

That's true here in Illinois as well; I will typically leave a minimum $2 tip regardless of the subtotal when I dine out. If the check comes to an amount where 15% would be greater than $2, I calculate the proper tip and round up to the nearest quarter. And as you said, I will leave a greater tip if the service was exceptional
