A Dog's Purpose : People actually listen to TMZ

People actually listen to TMZ

And take them as some sort of credible news source? Oh, brother. This isn't Milo and Otis-levels of animal abuse and cruelty.

They took Donald Trump serious as a Presidential candidate

Re: People actually listen to TMZ

TMZ, like The Enquirer, occasionally and accidentally luck into facts. By my estimation, somewhere south of 5% of the time. I pretty much don't click on their junk and trust that more reliable news sources will cover the same story if it turns out to be legitimate. I oppose animal cruelty (and in other breaking news the sky looks blue sometimes). So, if this story has legs,I expect to see it, or to see it cleared up, elsewhere. In the meantime, I may crack open this book since it's sitting on my shelf. I may go see the movie. I intend to not alter the course of my life based on anything TMZ pushes out into the digital world.

Do read the book, it is really well done. You almost perceive the world as a dog would do - a dizzying mix of scent, sound and visual impressions. My reluctance to rush out and see the film is based on the experience that a film is rarely as good as a really good book that it is based on - it is simply impossible to convey all the nuances of experience, thought and feeling that the book can do. However I think I will see it when it comes to a nearby theater, or at least on DVD. The book also has a sequel that wraps up the story in a very nice way. The sequel ie called A Dog's Journey.
