Mon'el is not funny. He's 5'4 and too metrosexual to be a superhero. I can't wait until he gets filled with lead and sent into the phantom zone.

Maggie is causing Alex to act like a ten year old school girl. It's annoying. She was actually an adult with Max.

I so agree. I was hoping when the show returned tonight (January 23rd) it would be different, but 5 minutes in Alex was all giddy headed because she was going on a date with her "girlfriend". Where is the strong Alex I liked? The one who had such great chemistry with Max Lord? I'm so over this show. I really wanted to see what happened with (I can't remember his name now - Alex's boss and the female Martian alien), but I guess I will have to read about it because I'm tuning out. Sorry but I just can't take anymore of it.

This show has always put feminist agendas over quality writing. Alex was a bit masculine last year, but when she was with Max, we saw he sexy side. It's gone now. It's like two 8th graders having a sleep over.

Huge? I've seen nothing regarding Chris Wood's following. I've yet to see a thread about that 5'6 manchild. His days are numbered. No big deal, there are a lot of other CW shows he can appear on.

Ah bullcrap. Mon-El has zilch. Neither does Maggie. Her storyline gets a lot of media coverage because a number of them are LGBT members, but it hasn't helped the show's viewership one bit.

Maggie isn't the problem, it's the way the writers are making Alex that's the problem.

Plus, I'm tired of LGBT characters dying on TV. We've already gone over the quota for dead lesbians.

Mon-El on the other hand? I'm so over him. He's a forced new male lead and a product of the show moving to The CW.

I have no idea what your issue is with pretty boys. I forgot about the thread you mentioned tom welling in earlier but frankly Tom's doe eyes and full lips make him way more a pretty boy than mon-el. And that's ok.

I'd like an Asian actor on any show really so won't complain about your complaints there even though you are more pushy about it than most can stand.

Tom Welling wasn't non-threatening. He was at least 6'3 and bulky. He had some presence (not much). All the CW hires is metrosexual males that look like they's rather be kissing each other than their female leads. Jeremy and Chris would love to play gay guys that were messing around like Chyler and Fiorina (sp.).

But I am surprised the CW would be so edgy to put an actual heterosexual white male as a love interest for a white women in this day and age!

Oliver Queen had a child with a white woman (against canon), Lance has two white kids by white women, and Thea only dates white guys. It's Black love the CW has a problem with.

With a comment like that I doubt you have ever been in love but I think it is pretty obvious Alex or Maggie will be killed off in the coming seasons 'cause apart from 'Lost Girl' and a few other minor exceptions we all know movies and TV shows have a history of killing off lesbians or giving them unhappy endings 'cause God knows we can't be happy unless it is in a movie where the lead character turns straight when she realises she was not really a lesbian and just hadn't met the right guy.

Actually the producers of Supergirl have responded to the worries about that trope "bury the gays" trope and have said that Maggie isn't going anywhere.

Hopefully they keep their word. It happens too often to the point where it is sickening and a I know I can speak on behalf of a lot of other lesbians who are sick to death of horrible endings for lesbian characters we want to see more happy relationships on screen.

And I am glad too since I will no longer have to read homophobic posts like this that have contributed to the closure of the IMDB boards. The fact I have never come across so much homophobia on a forum in my whole life than I have on the 'Supergirl' board since 'The L Word' first aired (and I have been a member of multiple forums since 2001) speaks volumes about the condition of this site. It is posts like the ones on here that contribute to the bullying and discrimination many of us face on a daily basis along with the suicide rates which are currently at the highest they have been in the past 5 years.

More than 75 percent of people in Australia support same sex marriages now. There are even churches with signs outside saying to legalise same sex marriages and acknowledge the sins people from previous generations committed but it is still that vocal minority who have a problem with pulling their heads out of their asses and wants to control everybody. News flash: Not everybody is heterosexual and a lot of us are tired of the homophobic agenda that has been forced down our throats in movies and TV shows with gay slurs and gay jokes over the years. What you call a 'gay agenda' is a dose of reality and is the retaliation to all the 'homophobic agenda' in movies and TV shows that people like you laughed 'cause as long as it didn't affect you *beep* everybody else.

I agree get rid of Mon-El. I also agree the CW has problems with Black male characters being interracially involved.

I don't consider it a problem, but I find it odd that of all the CW shows I've ever watched I can only remember one black couple. That is Joe and Cecile on the Flash. CW tends to be Black Male/White female. It's better than most networks where White men hook up with all kinds of females and Asian and black men are celibate.

this is totally the showrunners fault and i agree. the cool alex just disappears when she is with maggie. i like maggie, but the writers aren't doing either one any favors.
