Now I know why the writing here bothers me so much - it's Aaron Sorkin-style sh!t dialogue. Why was he not man enough to put his name on the credits?
If Aaron Sorkin did indeed write The Martian wouldn't he have chosen an unknown pseudonym rather than that of well-established screenwriter Drew Goddard? Which also begs the question of exactly why Drew Goddard would allow another screenwriter to use his name as a pseudonym, doesn't it?
You are obviously not aware that The Martian screenplay was based upon the Internationally Best Selling novel The Martian, written by Andy Weir. All of the running jokes you complain about in your earlier post are in the Andy Weir novel.

Best selling novel my ass. "Eat *beep* billions of flies love it for reason!"

Are you denying that is was a best selling novel? That is easily verifiable. It was on the New York Times Best Selling List for 33 weeks. Not the longest and not the shortest stint on the list. It reached number 1.
You don't have to like it. That is completely your choice. But don't deny its accomplishments.

No dumbo, let me spell it out for you:
I said: "Eat *beep* billions of flies can't be wrong!"
Meaning: If something is popular (best selling), it doesn't mean it can't be bad.

Ah, so you didn't like it. But have you read it. A great many people like it. Including those who regularly read and critique SF stories. Scientists and astronauts at NASA liked it and have praised it, especially for getting the science right.
You are entitled to your opinion. However the cursing and disdain for those who do is uncalled for. As well as your accusation that Aaron Sorkin wrote the novel under a pseudonym, which was your origianl claim.
