Public Morals : Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

Loved season 1 and so happy for Ed for getting this finally made!!! :D Turned out so much better than I was expecting. He got such a great cast and I loved the way the show has gone. So happy TNT let us binge watch this season. I can't wait for season 2 (which Ed is almost done writing and said we should get the renewal announcement in a couple weeks) and Ed's already given some spoilers about season 2 and 3!!! :D

In a couple Twitter chats he's revealed he's going to bring in real life Italian gangsters for season 2 and season 3 will be heavily focused on them. He confirmed he'll be casting for Joe "Fish" Marra. My guess is he'll be casting Carlo Gambino (who took over the Italian mob after Charlie Luciano was deported and Vito Genovese was ousted), Tommy Lucchese, and Paul Castellano. I love this too as a fan of "Boardwalk Empire" and mixing fictional & real-life characters.

He's also wrote season 2 roles for both his "Brothers McMullen" co-stars Mike McGlone and Jack Mulcahy. I've already seen a lot of his film co-stars pop up in season 1 and excited to see who else does. Hopefully a few as Terry's mentioned sisters. So I'm even more excited for season 2!!!

Re: Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

buffyfan145,

I totally agree with your post, I really enjoyed season 1 as well and see a lot of promise for this show. However, I can't give it a 10 because there are things I was yearning to see happen that didn't and relationships that weren't built upon as much as I would've liked season 1 gets an 8. But the final episode was perfect. It addressed a lot and left us hanging for what's to come next season. I like that. What I'm looking to see in season 2 is:

A focus on Deirdre and Sean and her pregnancy. Their storyline was one of my favorites!
More storylines with Duffy and his role in the neighborhood and and maybe a development of his relationship with Barbara.
Shea's wife and his actions at Harry Hardware's with the high-end call girl from episode 2. More storylines with him as well. He wasn't in every episode this season and didn't get a lot of screen time.
The move to Queens for the Muldoon's Terry's feelings and thoughts and reactions to this big change.
Latucci and Bernadette and specifically if he's the one the department's going to nix.
And of course, Rusty. Rusty, Rusty, Rusty. Really looking forward to see what happens with him.

Re: Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

I totally agree. I can't wait to see what happens next for all the characters & storylines!!! Ed's done a really great job with this. I also want to see if my theory about Shea is right. And really excited for what is next for Deirdre and Sean, and I love the entire Muldoon family. Plus, everything with Rusty and that Richie survived and will be back (Ed confirmed that). Besides being Irish I'm also part Italian so I'm excited they'll be getting more focus and I love "The Brothers McMullen" so that reunion is going to be so fun.

Re: Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

I wish Mr. Burns would find a way to bring Smitty back. Smitty was the hero of the show in my opinion.

Smitty's poor wife. He was finally happy. The more I watch episode 5 the sadder I get. Mr. Burns can Bobby Ewing 'Smitty.' I'm cool with that. He can show up in his wife's shower and I'll be cheering!

I know, I know it won't happen but poor Smitty. He finally got where he wanted to be in the organization and he was being nice to everyone He gave his friend a car. He loved his wife and was a good husband. And he was extremely sexy.

Rusty probably killed Smitty because he was jealous of Smitty's good looks on top of everything else. All the mob groupies in town probably threw themselves at Smitty, but Smitty being the good husband and all around honorable and great guy he is, probably said, "sorry ladies, I'm a married man" and turned them all away. Still, Rusty was jealous of all the attention and strangled him. Shame on Rusty. I want to see Rusty die a slow slow death.

I'm pretty sure I remember the line of dialogue where Rusty says, "you stole my job and are far far sexier than I am. I could handle losing the job but you being sexier than me is too much to handle."

I'm pretty sure he said that. Don't bother re-watching the episode, just take me at my word. I'm fairly honest.

Re: Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

Will miss Smitty. He was great. Do feel like Duffy kind of took over at least what I thought Smitty would be, like the Pauli character from "Crime Story". Pauli was the one who the cops got to work for them and be an informant but he was also loyal to his boss at times.

Re: Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

Will Rusty Patton be back next season?

Re: Loved Season 1 and Season 2 Spoilers

Yes, he'll be back. Ed gave a few tweets about season 2 storylines and Rusty is still involved. Sounds like Mike McGlone's season 2 hitman character might be connected to Rusty with how the season finale plays out.
