The Whispers : Tranquilizer shots? Anyone?

Ok so the government has so many people that need to find a way to stop Drill from talking to kids that noone ever thought about shooting the kids with tranquilizers instead of chasing them around like crazy chickens and fall into Drill's trapsshoot the kid, take the kid outside, drill is weak then he diesgg wp.

next week they probably get those else there will be a lot of screaming and kicking and crying

I don't think tranquilizers would kill Drill. I mean almost the whole point of using them is to immobilizer something without killing it. The only reason I could think of doing that is to reduce the number of potential host children Drill has the opportunity to possess. Although it sounds like one heck of a challenge, you could tranquilize every child in creation, but it does not sound like the best idea.

Who knows if Drill would not have just slept as well and then moved on? Maybe even rested up and gained more strength. The best of the bad choices because the choices basically all sucked was to let Drill possess Nicholas and then kill him.

I don't think Drill would have necessarily been killed even if they shot the boy. Drill used him to get them to turn the electricity back on. He was able to leave the boy instantly once the power was on.

Isn't killing his brother how the other boy killed Drill? Granted it was not by gunshot but by electrocution through lightening,, but certainly if a child could rig it up, they could figure out some way to electrocute him.
