It had to be said.
"What's truth got to do with it?"
"What's truth got to do with anything?"
"What's truth got to do with it?"
"What's truth got to do with anything?"

well, sounds like the movie surprised you so watch "Man on the Moon" if u want a tragic preaching "comedian-rising-up-and-dies"-story
u probably simply cant connect to the whole comedian scene hence duh didnt get it.

This could've been a great movie, the premise of the rise and fall of a popular but unhappy comic who changes his life had great potential. Furthermore the movie is CALLED Funny People and therefore could've also been a really facinating, insightful look into the life of a comedian and what drives people to live this lifestyle (imagine if Rogen's roommates were ACTUALLY interesting, twisted, neurotic comedians that resemble comics we've seen live and on TV and not hipster douches who make kitten videos on youtube?)
Apatow not only wasted a great idea but let it go to *beep* in the most obliviously self-indulgent, cluelessly pointless and tedious way possible.
What a waste of time and opportunity.
