I'm not entirely sure whether I liked Rogue Nation or Ghost Protocol better. I need to see Rogue Nation again. I know part 2 always gets a lot of hate, but I love all the films in the franchise personally.

I actually think they've got worse! they started off as thrillers and have now become just comedy. casting simon pegg as his comedy sidekick is a joke

Much agree. I want action, drama, suspense, and little humor. I wonder the reason they don't try to create an Oscar caliber script.

Well,for me there are no worst. I like them all the first holding a special place in my heart.

I like how that little gap carefully implies just how disconnected and bad M:I 2 is compared to all the rest - and I agree! :D

i thought this latest one rogue nation was particularly thrilling!
and who can forget the climbing of the high tower in M I Ghost protocol!
but i remarked tyo my friend after having seen rogue nation, that unlike many franchises, *ALL* the M:I films are pretty good overall.

Because the first one actually has a good plot, everything after it sort of forgot about this small detail. Then again, if you're not too interested in a good plot. It's likely not your favorite

Don't worry 0Tolerence, urbaniten's probably a fan of more action, less plot like Bay's films. Though not much action, the first MI had a great plot imo and had you at the edge of your seat which the 3rd one also shared.

The humour in Ghost Protocol was more organic and less forced.

II is definitely the worst. I really didn't like 4 much, none of the action was very good. Finale sucked, opening in the prison was just OK. I was really let down cause I like Brad Bird so much.

I'm sure no-one will get this. I guess I don't like the seriousness and forced husband/wife storyline of 3 and mainly watching this for Tom Cruise running and doing stunts with a few laughs.

I won't rate them, but I'll add a few thoughts
No matter how you cut it, the third is an underrated movie. PSH. Nuff said.
And I love the first. It has a very classic espionage feel that has yet return in any of the others.
Rogue Nation and Ghost Protocol are both solid movies, and really do a great job of blending good plot with gratuitous, good action.
