Martyrs : Really was not that bad…..

It definitely didn't have the bleak doom of the original, but this version still pulled at emotional strings that a hard to deal with.

I liked it for the emotional drama. Felt the two girls had great chemistry. But I can see how fans of the original might not be satisfied by the lack of carnage. I felt like the movie could've had about 20 more minutes but Blumhouse seems to like short runtimes. The ending was bittersweet but at least they took a few sick*beeps* out with them.
