I feel these are the 2 best series going when in comes to action right now, I also feel they are extremely similar in, They both both out all Time Great action movies and then followed with Excellent sequels that somehow lived up to expectations

for me personally, I feel Both sequels weren't quite as good as the Originals, but that is in no way a bummer or disappointment, I feel both Sequels were absolutely excellent and completely lived up to expectations, The problem was for me They were following movies that couldn't be topped

I know Wick 2 just came out so a lot of people may not have seen it yet

Unless you dislike action movies, it is definitely worth checking out the two "Raid" movies. The fight scenes have to be seen to be believed - and that's coming from someone who is not particularly into action movies.

I think I watched part of The Raid. It was OK as I recall, but I didn't finish it.

I love both Raid movies.

I liked John Wick more than I thought I would, but I found it to get boring and repetitive halfway in. Didn't see sequel.

The sequel is more of the same. Some inventive actions sequences, but the violence does get somewhat repetitive after a while. It doubles down on the world building with the whole 'crime syndicate underworld' thing, but to a fault. It convolutes (and I don't even think that's the right word; it just gets redundant and nonsensical) what little plot there is.

Still, it has some solid actions scenes and it doesn't go shaky cam close-up on you. It lets you take it all in from a fair distance.

Ironically, I didn't like the Raid. It was like watching a video game. I never cared about the main character, which makes it less enjoyable to watch him kick the sh!t out of everyone. Impressive fight scenes, but if you're not invested in the character, what's the point?

I haven't seen John Wick 2 yet. I rated the first one a 7, and the two "The Raid" an 8.

I very rarely rate a movie a 9 or a 10, so 8 means I liked it a lot.

I'm not really into action films, but I thought I might like John Wick as I enjoyed The Equaliser and heard they were similar. It was terrible, surprised they have made a sequel in all honesty. Not seen the rest.

The Raid 2 - So close to part one. Both are two of the greatest action movies of all time.
The Raid - Same as above. So good and I just like to watch both movies together.
John Wick - Surprisingly awesome. Keanu makes a believable action star, which doesn't make sense, but it works. I love this movie, but I cannot put them above the Raid movies.
John Wick 2 - I have not seen this yet, unfortunately. I really want to.
