Moonlight : Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

Sorry, but being black or gay doesn't automatically mean it's a good movie.

Besides, Hacksaw Ridge is the superior movie and Mel Gibson is in fact the better director.

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

What?

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

Absurd. Moonlight is nominated for more acting awards, writing, as well as Cinematography and Score.

What?? Hillary Clinton would smack you down. And she probably would, considering that she is unemployed right now and has a lot of free time

Fabio Testi is GOD

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

So when is your film coming out? Or are you just relegated to sitting at yo mama's computer all day long talking *beep*

"OOOOOOOO, Carlos was just teaching you how to do the mambo?"

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

Typical liberal response. Insults and name calling.

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

It matters not. It has a 98% Rotten Tomatoes rating 99% on Metacritic and has already won tons of regional critics awards for best picture from NY to Fl and everywhere in between. The Golden Globe for best dramatic picture. Hell even Tim Markatos from The American Conservative gave it stellar reviews. It is getting this praise because it is a stellar piece of CINEMATIC ART. Not simply because of the subject matter which seems to offend you so much.

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

Sorry @Dexter but your plain old White movies that are SUPPOSED to be TRUE stories with WHITE people as HEROES is even too much for YOU to swallow. Rescued 75 people without firing a weapon, over a mountain? PLEASE, you people need to get over yourselves and stop lying in your movies, ESPECIALLY MEL GIBSON.

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

I thought it was going to be more exploitative of the subject matter before I saw it. Sure, he may be gay and black, but it's about more than that to me. In fact, I thought the subject matter was handled tastefully.

Appreciate it

Re: Hopefully it won't win Best Picture or Director

OP: wouldn't you rather be bashing minorities than spending time lecturing "liberals"?
