Anyone else getting the just that he isn't Mike Painter but he is the brother and he killed Mike?

I'm definitely feeling that like in the movie, Frailty.

But then why did the teacher specfically say "don't mess with Mike Painter" to Daphne if Eddie is the one who's still alive?

I think you might be right; but it would sort of suck because that's the kind of twist you can see coming about a hundred miles off.

Aw man, you beat me. With the scene where he told the story about "being the mayor" and how they could trade places, also with the burthday wishes "you can wish for each other" (not ad verbatim but you get the point).

This is my theory too. ^and if he took over Mike's identity, the point is people will think he's Mike (in response to an earlier post).

I don't think so since Eddie had the broken finger and he's the one who was doing the controlling. If Eddie tried to pass himself off as Mike his mother would surely know it.

When he said that the brother wanted to be mayor and they could share the position and no one would know gave that away.
