Channel Zero : The puppet on the pirate ship…

The puppet on the pirate ship…

According to the original creepypasta, it's a little girl named Janice but I don't know if they've been that specific for this show. But here's my point: the facial expression on the puppet, the way it looks distressed and about to burst into tears at any moment. It's a small detail that packs a big punch, and it's things like that that elevate this show to a new level of discomfort. So brilliant.

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

That's Pirate Percy. Janice hasn't made an appearance yet.

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

Ah, good call! Been a while since I read the source material

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

I do hope Janice appears though - I think the show within the show element is amazing so far but it just feels slightly lacking without Janiceor at least a mention of her?

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

I agree about the level of discomfortits r ally given me the screaming habdabs this show (slang for scare me ***less) and I generally really like a good horror. But this is probably the scariest series I ever seen.

It's dark and gloomy as well, it's almost like I can remember that tv show from somewhere!

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

Whenever they show Jawbone (Skintaker) there's that overlay of his face close up like a ghost image that is really creepy. His eyes just glare into your soul.

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

I haven't been scared a single time by this show. It's interesting, but unless they make them much more ferocious I don't see much intimidation there.

Re: The puppet on the pirate ship…

The overlay kind of reminds me of the flashes of the demon face in The Exorcist film.
