Collateral Beauty : Saw the movie.

Saw the movie.

I saw the movie yesterday and I was not too pleased with what I saw. The movie was all over the place, the pacing was off, Edward Norton was a bit annoying, too many storylines at once. Do NOT see this movie. It is really depressing and will make you leave the theater feeling down about yourself and why you spent $10.75 on a ticket to see this movie. Luckily, I saw it for free!

Re: Saw the movie.

Where did you see this movie? Theater name and city please. But there will be no reply. Movie released Dec 16th.

Re: Saw the movie.

Relax. Likely an advance screening. Very common.

Re: Saw the movie.

You realize movies screen in advance for free? I see 3-4 movies a week for free weeks before they are released. Check out advancescreenings.com to find out how.

Re: Saw the movie.

I completely agree.

Re: Saw the movie.

It's depressing but in a schmaltzy, contrived way. Like it's sad unto itself, not because it is reaching out further to exhibit /explain/connect with the human condition.

Re: Saw the movie.

wowa bit harsh. remind yourself to grow up a bit before you go online and give a critique of a movie. Maybe, just MAYBE the movie was a bit too mature for you.

As an adult, I happen to think the premise is interesting. I will see it and decide for myself. Thanks anyway.

Re: Saw the movie.

Great film. Fantastic symbolism. Don't see it without taking tissue.

Re: Saw the movie.

It looks super boring from the trailers. I think I'll pass on this Will Smith movie.

Re: Saw the movie.

I Saw the screening yesterday and loved it! The acting was fantastic and loved the cast. Death is Dramatic just like Helen M. was and Love is emotional etc. It was a deep subject but life isn't always zippity do dah . As a mother who loves her children more my life itself I can imagine his pain.

Re: Saw the movie.

Just saw the ad. As soon as I heard "every cloud has a silver lining", it becomes very likely this is probably not for me even if it is a great example of big budget Lifetime movie.

I also immediately remember a continuation attributed to W.C. Fields " .. and every bowl of vegetable soup is full of vegetables."

I expect it will bomb horribly or make a ton of money, nowhere in between.

Re: Saw the movie.

Everyone has the right to feel differently. So don't mind those disagreed with you.

However, I assume you have watched lots of movies and Collateral Beauty was not the first film you saw, right? Therefore, choose a movie wisely next time.

If you knew that a depressing film will lower your morale effectively, go watching Kung Fu Panda or Alvin and the Chipmunks series, you will find your happiness in them.

Cheer up, man.

I see fat people! Are you alright, Haley Joel Osment?

Re: Saw the movie.

Part of the complaint might have something to do with an expectation that it would be more uplifting. Seems a lot of people are complaining the trailer was deceptive.

Re: Saw the movie.

Collateral Beauty is the 3rd worst movie.

Re: Saw the movie.

Enjoyed it personally.

Its about a man who lost his 6 year old daughter, it was never going to be light hearted.
