Yeah, I'm not buying it. Are we supposed to believe that during the 8 years the original show was on, Kimmy had a younger brother that we NEVER heard about? She talked about an OLDER brother a few times, but never a younger brother. The Gibbler family was a family of four. That was mentioned more than once. Did the poor kid get adopted out and grow up somewhere else lol?

I know. And in the pilot of Full House, DJ mentioned Kimmy having three sisters.Also, I seem to recall an episode where Kimmy said "I am glad my parents stopped having kids after me." Which Stephanie sarcastically replied,"Gee, I wonder why?" This indicates that not only does Kimmy not have a younger brother, but she is the baby of the family.

What they should have done is cast her older brother, Garth. He can still be hunky. And maybe go for DJ instead.

And naming him Jimmy? Jimmy and Kimmy?! For real, people? Lol!!!

exactly. I hate when shows mess up with continuity. We never hear about Kimmy's sisters after the pilot and only ever hear about his older brother Garth.

Now all of a sudden she has a baby brother Jimmy? Nope. And even if she did I would think Stephanie would have known since they were neighbors growing up she would have seen him playing in the yard or something.

Maybe Kimmy's parents divorced and Jimmy is her younger half-brother?
I seem to recall that Full House wasn't really big on continuity either back in the day.
Weren't there like 5 or 6 different rotating grandmas and relatives of Uncle Jesse's from Greece?
If the brother was never on the show and only mentioned in passing (as in the case of Kimmy's brother Garth who I don't remember her mentioning at all, but I only watched the show occasionally when it originally aired - I was too busy being a kid and a young teenager to know what day of the week new episodes came on tv) then it doesn't really matter if the audience never met the character(s) if they decide to invent a new one that was off-screen the whole time.
I'm sure they'll explain how Stephanie never knew about him in the new show.
Kimmy basically lived at the Tanner house, heck, maybe even *she* didn't know about her surprise brother until years later (Dad had a secret 2nd family - haha!)

The only thing I can think of is Kimmy's father must of had an affair, and Jimmy was raised by his mother.

Maybe he was born during the last 2 seasons and was just never mentioned. He only looks to be between 20-25, so it's possible.

When I read about Jimmy, I didn't think I would like that storyline, but ut ended up being my favorite part of season 2. It was just simple and sweet, but funny at the same time. I like that it wasn't complicated, very little drama. It makes different from the other relationships. I hope Jimmy has a bigger role in season 3.

I like the storyline so much that I will forgive them for the continuity mistake. I don't remember Kimmy having a younger brother in the original Full House, but I still think Jimmy is a good addition now.
