The Flash : Am I the only one who doesn't like the fact they are making Wally better

I remember reading an interview with the producers who said the show is about Barry Allen's version of The Flash. It's now beginning to annoy me that they are constantly going on about how much better Wally is becoming. I don't dislike Wally's character like some people here, but I don't like the fact soon he's going to be faster than Barry.

The scene at the end of the last episode kind of confirmed this as they are going to have Wally save Iris instead of Barry because he won't be fast enough urgh! It looks like he's going to be faster than Barry soon but I'm really hoping they don't go that way!

It'd be comics accurate, so it would not surprise me if Wally is eventually faster.

If Wally saves Iris, so what? It shows Barry is an effective leader, he's learned to delegate and use his resources. Just like in real-life, sometimes your best player on the team doesn't make the game winning shot, the guy who he passes to does. All that matters is the team wins.

The season is about beating Savitar, I'm sure that will be reserved for Barry.

I never read the comics so I don't know much about them, from seeing comments here and doing some research though it does seem Wally becomes faster than Barry. I think the issue for me is it's happening to fast and by the end of the season he's going to be faster than Barry who is supposed to be the main focus.

The Flash has always moved too fast. In the pilot, he got powers, a costume, a team, beat a bad guy, and Joe learned his secret. That's a lot in 43 minutes.

This show is about the destination not the journey. "Wally is not adjusted to his speedFixed it." That should have been an entire episode, not 10 minutes. I would like to see more interpersonal moments. Even one where Barry just went around the city saving and talking to people. Instead, it's fight metas every week.

Still a great show.

who cares what he was in the comics, this is an entirely different medium that does not have the luxury of writing about a character for 25 years without making him age

if they want to make a show about wally's flash..fine do that, but it is completely idiotic to make him hijack the spotlight mid-series steve urkel style and than make him into the mary sue of the showthat just quickly gains the power of the main character super fast with half the build up and backstory

Steve Urkel style? Other then being Black males, these characters have nothing in common. As I've stated before, sometimes the younger person is faster, smarter, more handsome, more gifted. Wally is more gifted than Barry in utilizing the Speed Force. It is what it is.

Wally is getting an arc. This has not become the Wally show.

Wally is in no way a Gary Stu. If he were, he would have saved the train of people not Barry. Also, if he were a Gary Stu he would have defeated Yorkin without Barry's guidance.

Wally will never be better than Barry because Wally is dumb. I don't care how smart he is in the comics this Wally is a glory seeking fool. And when you are a glory seeking fool you are easily manipulated. I just want a villian to beat his azz good. Even Barry is starting to see through Wally. It wouldn't surprise me if Wally ends up dead because of his need for glory

These writers love the comics and in the comics Iris dies and so does Barry. In fact, Barry was dead for 25 years and the universe did fine and Wally surpassed him in every way. Sadly, Boring Barry is back in the comics and still messing things up. I.E. Flashpoint.

Wally has always been a Flash with the greatest potential.

See my problem is how they go about it, like it's so stupid that every other Meta that Alchemy gifted powers to got their full powers from Flashpoint, except Wally who they make out is just super gifted, when in a logical sense he's as fast as Flashpoint Wally who was remarkably slower than Barry, hence Wally being unable to stop The Rival but Barry having little to no problem dealing with him.

Also Wally is noticeably slower than Jesse, Jesse was almost reaching Mach 3 days after getting her powers, Wally is almost 2 months in and he's still not there yet, so why keep bragging about how great he is when you've effectively shown how inferior he is to someone else?

Wally can be who saves Iris that's not an issue, I've pointed out a few times Barry speed wise should have no problem but the idea he cant reach that speed in that time to save her is something that they could do, and give Wally this as his natural skill that he can max out his speed instantly, so to save Iris they need to get Wally x amount faster so he can reach her in time because whilst Barry has the speed and Wally has the acceleration they need to have both which neither have right now.

And this doesn't even take into account just how stupid the "science" behind this scenario is anyway, even if the distance was 1000ft they needed to cover Barry could do so easily and it's clearly not even that far, if it was 200ft id be surprised, whole scenario is so forced, stupid and faulty it's laughable.

No, you're not the only one. I hate Wally and his fans are insufferable. I don't give a damn what the comics say. This is about the show and that prick Wally shouldn't be better than Barry on a show called The Flash. What sense does that make? If they ever go full on with making him the best or the main Flash, I won't watch anymore. That isn't what I signed up for.
