The Flash : Best Parts of this Episode…Finally

Best Parts of this Episode…Finally

People dish it out to Barry, at least in part. Still, their outrage, except for Caitlin's is a bit confusing. These are all new timelines so a LOT of what Barry changed they wouldn't even be aware of. If someone told me that I had another life in which I was married and had 3 kids, white picket fence and alland in this life, I'm single, married to my job, nothing anchoring me, I'd still be like ohwell that's interesting. I mean it's not like the new timeline me actually missed the wife and kids etc.

That being said, we finally get to see Caitlin venting some of her frustrations over her repeated losses. Also, the killer frost persona considerably amps up Danielle's appeal.

Re: Best Parts of this Episode…Finally

Agree that:

Caitlin is hot (or hotter) as Killer Frost.

With no personal knowledge of their either pre-Flashpoint or Flashpoint timeline lives, their outrage should actually be rather minimal, if at all.

Barry getting some doses of some f'king with peoples lives just for his own sake was much needed.

Disagree that these were the best parts of the episode. Joe being compelled by personal feelings gets reckless with Wally's life, which is a good counterbalance to Barry getting pummeled with repercussions about his own recklessness.

Re: Best Parts of this Episode…Finally

Panabaker was excellent in this episode. I think it helped taking out of her comfort zone of playing goody-goody Caitlin all the time. It stretches her acting chops playing a villain. And what makes her better than most of the weekly metas is she's a main character that fans have grown to love over the years, so it makes her villainous predicament the more heartbreaking.

Re: Best Parts of this Episode…Finally

And I think clearly, Alchemy's prodding/provoking, esp. since they now have a history, will push her Caitlin over the edge. She has had many heartbreaks and setbacks and is harboring a lot of pain, which is clearly turning into anger.

Re: Best Parts of this Episode…Finally

The only person other than Caitlin who's mad at Barry is Cisco. His anger is understandable as well. He just found out that if Barry hadn't gone back and changed the timeline his brother would still be alive (supposedly). It really is only Caitlin and Cisco that got the short end of the stick and it's only them who hold anger towards Barry. Well, only Cisco now.
