Captain America: Civil War : So where does everyone plan on going?

Since they're apparently shutting down the message board system here on IMDb in just over 2 weeks.

Does anyone have any places that are good spots to discuss the MCU (and other movies/tv shows/actors in general, for that matter)?

Personally, I can also be found on the Super Hero Hype message board http://forums.superherohype.com/ (I'm Silvermoon over there - just a note: SHH is more moderated that IMDb is, which I would think some might welcome). But am open to other suggestions as well

The Imdb message board was here for many years now, it's quite frustrating they're shutting it down.

I use(d) it primarily to get information and sometimes just for fun, didn't post often though (mostly because of lack of English knowledge).
It helped me a lot to improve my English.

Btw, this board is actually my Imdb shortcut, so I always visited this board first. :)

SuperHeroHype does have a general film forum (with threads for a variety of movies). It's not restricted to *just* discussing Superheroes

It still sucks that there will be no movie specific forums though. It sucks. IMDB could just link to an external forum. The boards here are so archaic, it's been obvious for a long time that they didn't really want them as part of the site.

My answer is no, no I do not.
This site was my place for that, even though in the last couple years I've stuck mainly to the comic book base movie and tv forums.

Haven't had a sci-fi or fantasy based show that I was into enough to want to talk about since Eureka ended. And as much as I've loved shows like Castle, Bones, and Rizzoli & Isles I've never had the desire go to a forum board and talk about them.

Some of your more aggressive methods of debating that you've gotten away with on IMDb the mods might not be so thrilled with. Yeah I read the FAQ there. Seems like a totalitarian regime. I don't think it would be much fun.

Yeah, I think those boards will die out pretty soon. It was a nice place here, but everything comes to an end.

it is a real shame the message boards are going. it could be quite a nice community at times - hey nillendeiel, do you remember our little group on the sebstan board? i will always have warm memories of that.

i do have an account on comicbookresources but i mainly posted in the comics section, and even then i found some of the contributors a bit snowflakey - i was once told off for saying i preferred it when superman was with lois instead of wonder woman. i was not being rude or aggressive at all. i think i would need somewhere a little less buttoned up - maybe superherohype is not as bad? i don't have a reddit account but maybe now is a time to open one? i'll have a look at both.

I don't know, I'm going to miss these boards and miss sharing my opinions on movies and tv shows with people. :(

If anybody is interested in another movie database with dedicated boards for every individual title and person, there is a website called TMDB (https://www.themoviedb.org/talk) that recently added message boards for every specific movie and person (example: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/149871-kaguyahime-no-monogatari You have to click on the little word bubble icon on the top left of the movie's page). A bunch of people from IMDb have already gathered at their general boards and and are discussing ways to increase activity and serve as an alternative to IMDb.

I encourage everyone to take a look at this site. I think it looks very promising. It's the only other site I know of with message boards for every movie, actor, director, etc.

I also encourage everyone to spread the word about this site, as it seems most people don't know about it.
