William Redfield : Harding:
Re: Harding:
he was so good they listed him "And William Redfield as Harding" after Jack and Louise Fletcher in the opening credits, and no one else. as a kid, for years, I wondered why… till I realized… but I think I also wondered why more actors names weren't listen up front, like William Sampson, Chris LLoyd, DeVito, William Duell, Sydney Lassick, etc.

Re: Harding:
Redfield had a bigger rep in the industry as an actor over the other NOW familiar faces. They were more new on the scene. It's about the agent deals as well.
The main players being Nicholson and Fletcher, and Fletcher only had about 22mins of actual screen time, Nicholson had an hour and a quarter. Fletcher's part was well integrated throughout the piece, like Hopkins' limited screen time was in Silence Of The Lambs.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?
