Judy also wore blackface in BABES IN ARMS [1939] and BABES ON BROADWAY [1941]. It looks racist now, but Judy has never been accused of being a racist. Not only was she friends with Sammy Davis, Jr. but she worked with a lot of black performers and had a few of them on her tv show [Count Basie, Lena Horne, Diahann Carroll].
