Cpntrol. Greed. Having mental problems shouldn't be grounds to have your freedoms taken away. There are also ethics for conservatotships that weren't followed.

Fame pretty much destroyed Britney's sanity. But she's a rich woman thanks to her dad taking good care of her fortune.

The courts repeatedly agreed that she should remain in the conservatorship for her own good. Now that she's out of it we can see what a mental case she was. It probably is the fame that led to her mental breakdown but the end result is the same, she's 100% nuts. The family was trying to protect her.

That was a jury that almost everyone agrees was biased. With Britney Spears the decision was made by judges. Neither juries or judges are perfect, but it's a better system than leaving it rulings left to public opinion. The public doesn't know the details of this case so the whole "Free Britney" movement was just foolish.

She demonstrated time and time again she can't take care of herself. Or her kids.

At the time, probably not fit to be around her kids, but the conservatorship lasted way past its need and under the wrong people. Plus, why the conservatorship when she checked herself in? Clearly, she knew she was having problems and made the right choice.
