A Most Violent Year : what the hell is this crap

I'm watching this and nothing makes sense. I'm trying it's all over the place.
I mean a guy owns a whole bunch of gasoline trucks that are getting robbed the boss doesn't care and the drivers can't carry weapons. And the main guy acting like Pacino boy bad move.
And this POS doesn't make sense. Someone explain this.

More desperation for a story.

It didn't make sense for me either. He doesn't want to be a `gangster' yet he uses illegal methods to undercut gangsters. What did he expect? Either go straight or go to war.

its a movie for art farts,not a movie for adults who like enjoying a well made suspense thriller movie

NOOO not a troll I just thought the movie sucked. If I thought it was good I would of said so. Not everyone has to like a movie because you liked it.

Dude, what was arty fatty about this? Lol. Its pretty straight forward. The guy wanted to succeed. He made some mistakes in the past to get going but wants to be a legit businessman. Pretty cut and clear.

There were no farts in this man. You want farts? Watch a Kubrick film. This is straight storytelling.

Not even related to this movie, you associate Kubrick with fart films? Seriously? I could see Ashton Kusher doing fart films, but not Kubrick.

It's not hard to follow. But.Audiences are used to getting spoon fed the plot.

You didn't sense something crappy about this movie. I give up.

It wasn't amazing. It was solid and better than most.
