Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them : (spoiler) A question I had about the ending

(spoiler) A question I had about the ending

So Credence is completely and utterly obliterated and at which point no one seems to care that they just killed a young man. He seemed like a kid in this movie a pretty frail one at that. Everything leading up to it, Newt, and the detective were really trying their hearts out to save this kid. The emotion was there and everything. Then when he actually does get blasted into oblivion it seems like no one really gave it much after thought.

This is probably due to the fact that Graves stole the show with his speech and antics. However it just seems strange that they had never personally dealt with an obscural(spelling?) before but they so easily tossed aside the child that was part of it. Newt appeared to legitimately care. Frankly they're lucky Credence was calmed down by the time they entered the subway.

Even after they took Graves down nothing was ever mentioned about Credence again. It went straight to lets wipe everyone's mind. I kind of get why Ma'dam president didn't mention anything about it. She seemed cold and straight to procedure. In other words all about business. So it might have broken character a little.

Anyway I adore this movie that small bit just bothered me a little.

Re: (spoiler) A question I had about the ending

The reason Newt didn't mention it again was because he saw a small part of Credence escape and didn't want to draw attention to him. Credence is alive and will appear in the next movie. I've seen the movie twice now and if you watch that scene again you'll notice why Newt and Tina say nothing. They are giving him the chance to escape without MACUSA knowing.

Re: (spoiler) A question I had about the ending

I was wondering what happened to Credence's little sister - the strange girl who sang as she did hopscotch. After the big blowup, she just disappeared.
In fact, I was ready for her to become the big bad smoky amoeba.

Re: (spoiler) A question I had about the ending

That's a good question. They sure built it up that way only to throw a twist in there. I am curious as to what happened to her as well. Heck I'm curious as to why SHE had a wand in her room to begin with.

Re: (spoiler) A question I had about the ending

I thought she was Credence's actual, blood-related sister and not just an adopted one - making her a witch. I thought, because Credence was taking the brunt of their adopted mother's anger, the little girl didn't have that conflict within her that Credence did and so she didn't turn into an obscurial and so, she must've been having signs of having magic like normal. I don't think it was an actual wand, just something to play with.
