Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

If I’m going to be banished from a forum simply because I express emotions differently than majority of others here so be it.

First off, you aren't banished. Second, just about everyone here seems to have been accused of having a meltdown at one time or another, so just about everyone has expressed emotions.
I have no idea why people use Meltdown as a Putdown here. Perhaps it's another way of telling someone they are unstable. Who knows?
I find myself thinking twice before even using an exclamation mark at the end of a sentence. Someone might say I'm having a Meltdown!

You are not alone here. According to one idiot or another, everyone has had a meltdown, just as everyone at one time or another has had someone living rent free in one's head. These lines are becoming cliches!

Perhaps, instead of feeling as though you are "being banished", start a thread about these message board cliches. There are at least a few more…

I have posted far too much now, which means that I am obviously having a MELTDOWN!

You asked a pretty question; I've given you the ugly answer.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

Meltdowns are an integral part of the Internet experience. I'm convinced that they're the only thing that's kept some from going full Falling Down.

Hark! Harold the angel sings.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

Re: you signature, when my brother and I were little, we thought the Angel's name was Hark, and we had an Angel Light topper on our tree and named it Hark.

Kids.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

Ha! The signature was actually borne of a child. My young stepbrother asked a few years ago who "Harold the Angel" was whilst listening to Christmas music. You've gotta love the way kids' questions throw you for a loop sometimes.

Hark! Harold the angel sings.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

Well, we still refer to any Angel on top of a tree as Hark, the Herold Angel. I love that your stepbrother interpreted that as Harold the Angel!

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

I agree with your OP and that is very well said.
We is cool with each other and I got no probs with you.

If you are going to be here then you need to be very careful and very selective in what you share of your personal life if it is true.

Like there are those who keep asking for my age but I refuse to answer that because I know they will use that against me.
Or I will share that I have a girlfriend but I will not divulge any details about her like her job, health etc.

When you show what might be seen as a weakness by any trolls, assholes and haters they will jump in on that and use it against you whenever they can every time.

Myself, I won't tease, or be mean or a bully because that is not who I am.
I may kid or joke but I won't be an asshole to those who share personal things just for the sake of being mean.

So you have two choices if you stay.
Be very selective in what you share and how you present yourself.
Or
Know that no matter what you share about yourself that it can be used against you and get a real thick skin for it.

Whatever you do I wish you well.

Seems like you forgave her "attention whoring" the very second you found out she regularly gets naked!

What a fucking weasely hypocrite you are.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

Things are forgiven and forgotten between us and I have never seen her nude nor care to.

I'm seriously amazed you've managed to live this long considering how much of a clueless fucking idiot you are.

Emotions are just weakness leaving the body.

If you're going to have a meltdown, do it in style!

There's only one reason why you would care enough to reply to my post.

Also, if you're going to be a homophobe worth your salt, then you really need to learn how to spell. Not that you have to be intelligent to be homophobic.

I wish you had quoted the post.

What did they say and who was it Mr. H? You must've pushed a button, cause they've deleted their post.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

It was WarrenPeace, no surprise there - (who I thought I had on block, oh well) – He called us cock-sucking faggots and he tried to be clever and referred to you as "Toasted Sleeze" - Not the most egregious error, but he's still a moron.

He also tried to make a point out of the fact that I'm gay and a fan of the movie. What a non-issue. Where has he been for the past 40 years? Is he the last person to know that the movie has a gay following? He probably gets off on watching Diana Scarwid flash her granny panties.

He's not well in the head and has some serious psychological issues. Perhaps he needs our compassion.

It doesn't matter what you say to him, he can't be fixed.

There is also rumour that he is actually not male and in all likely hood he could be Jill McBitch.

Re: What’s wrong with having meltdowns?

I have seen this movie at least 75 times, and it just now occurred to me that those wire hangers would have come from the dry cleaners'. Those two kids would have absolutely nothing to do with wire hangers being in their closet.

On the screen, I find her mesmerizing, but irl JC was an irrational, toxic bitch.

I want to get a t-shirt that has I Believe Christina emblazoned on the front.

Its the petty trivial things narcissists will make an issue out of. I've seen it in different bosses of mine throughout my working career.

The one and only Mommie Dearest truly had borderline psychopathic tendencies though. I'd say she would have been a genuine straight jacket if it wasn't for her privilege.

I want to get a t-shirt that has I Believe Christina emblazoned on the front.
Oh for sure! I have never doubted or questioned her for one moment, the first time I read the book. It was too honest and self-introspective.

Same here. I have watched the interview she did on Phil Donahue. It was in the wake of her book and she was shell shocked. It would have been obvious to almost anybody that Christina was telling the truth.

I am just glad that Christina has been able to find some humor within herself over time and even enjoy the unexpected cult success her book has enjoyed. I think her book was the first of its kind. In truth, Christina Crawford was/is a brave lady.

I have seen it.

Who would have wanted her life for all the tea in China.

The psychological and physical abuse was staggering, despite her growing up in privilege. It is a testament to Christina that she was strong enough, intelligent and resilient enough to survive it.

I'd even say she would have modified some of what happened, to make the book more palatable.

I'm pleased she got the last jab in, and despite CC detractors, it was really Mommie Dearest's hand that wrote that book. She was always striving for attention at any cost and glorification, so she got what she wished for.
