Re: Who are your own Top 5 Favorite Female "STAR TREK" Characters ?
Harder to do since Star Trek has always been so male dominated, and thanks the galaxies for that! So this is about characters and not about sex appeal.
1. Uhura - this is a surprise even to me but she never once made a big deal about her either being a woman or being black, it was always about doing her job, which is where new Trek goes so far astray
2. Janeway - Even though I am not always a big fan, she does a fine job, though my favorite female captain is Garrett from Yesterday's Enterprise, played to perfection by Tricia O'Neil
3. Janice Rand - for only appearing in about ten episodes, she really made an impression on me, what if she had stayed on the series?
4. Tasha Yar - another character who left too soon, she was maybe the only character I liked from the first season, why they got rid of her and kept the boring Troi is a mystery to me
5. T'Pol - Enterprise had a couple (with Trip) with real chemistry and instead of exploring that, they did everything to end it, she was an interesting Vulcan, which is rare
