Comedy : 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I genuinely like this movie! It has a great combination of actors, and I love Kevin Costner playing against type. Courtney Cox is so adorable as the single mom with the brat, and Kurt Russell plays hapless so well! Just a fun movie!

(I'm not an Elvis fan.)

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I couldn't get into it.
Too violent for me and I am a Jon Lovitz fan so I hate it that he gets killed.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I'm not a huge fan of action films, but this one was so good!!

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I get ya sister.
Not an action fan either but sometimes there is a good one for an escape.

Where Costner is the bad guy I prefer him in A Perfect World where you empathize with him instead.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

He's just so cold in this one.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

Which is why I like him better in Perfect World.

Check it out.

Do you like Eastwood?
He is in it to as the sheriff on his trail.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I did see it. Once is enough. Too intense.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I agree or rewatch it every few years.

Unlike 3K it is more realistic and not just an escape action movie and it does have a sad ending.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I like 3000 Miles because it's not a serious movie. Just action-packed fun with a cool cast!

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

Whatever floats your boat.
Just wasn't for me.
I didn't get into it.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

A Perfect World is on my list of favorite movies, and I thought Costner was A+ in it.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I'm not big on Costner, but he's so good and nasty in this one!

I adore Courtney Cox. I liked her since I saw her in Family Ties as Michael P. Keaton's first girlfriend.

I love it that you do not pussy foot around and tell it like it is!

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I did not know that about KC.

I do not have one movie of his not because I don't like him but because he does movies I don't care to own.

And I agree about the limited range of him which, frankly, I see in the majority of actors.
I prefer Robin Williams, Gary Oldman and Heath Ledger.
You cannot always tell it is them, especially the latter two, because they change their looks and the way they act.
We need more of that.

And for CC, yeah I get that to.
Or that she feels like she is too good for her own underwear.
She does have a weird underlying type of vibe.
I doubt that she would give us common folk the time of day.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I don't care for those Hannibal movies but check him out in that one where he plays a rich and deformed bedridden man where he is totally unrecognizable to The Contender where he is a congressman to Fifth Element to playing Gordon in the Batman movies to Count Dracula in another movie.
Love his range and the way he changes looks.

Since you like that kind of stuff and if you like really deep and dark dramas then check out Robin in One Hour Photo.
It is hard to tell or unbelievable that is him.
And I prefer him in movies to stand up.

Re: 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

I like that this one pitted the two Wyatt Earp actors against each other.

I also like that, during the filming of this movie, Kurt Russell went and visited the set of Stargate SG-1 in costume, and met his TV counterpart played by Richard Dean Anderson.

That's pretty cool! Kurt Russell is a really cool guy.
