Yeah, it sucks. I wanted to get that Ring doorbell security camera, but then I thought, how would it help me in this situation? If I don't recognize the thief, I can't do anything. If I send the security footage to my local news and they air it and ask people if they recognize the thief, then the thief will see it and seek retribution. Then he/she will either keep stealing my packages or murder me.

That's a really good point lol. It doesn't stop them from stealing in anyway and it probably won't help. It's more for piece of mind probably.

Security cameras are good to have. I just didn't know if it would've helped in my situation. But they definitely can come in handy.

Thanks. I don't know how people can do that. I'm trying to live in denial and believe a bear took it. It was one of those yellow padded envelopes, not a box, so it's possible. (It wasn't windy that day, so the wind didn't blow it away.)

I hadn't had a problem before this. This particular time, they put the package near the edge of the porch, so I guess that made it more tempting to the thief (or the bear/dog/coyote, if it was an animal).
I think I can put in a request with the different delivery companies to not leave packages if nobody answers the door, or I guess I could put a note on the door asking them not to leave packages.

I was given a refund and I re-ordered the items. I received the package this time, but they ignored my request to deliver the package at the back door instead of the front.
