Food and Drink : Never knew how uneducated I was about food until I had to learn which foods

Have gluten in them. I mean, I knew the basics, but things like spices? Nope. Never even crossed my mind that they could contain gluten.


I'm trying to make my own rice flour because the gluten free plain flour crap that I got from Asda make my cookies like rock buns and tastes like shit, and most recipes I'm finding on youtube use bloody rice flour. Some people are like "OMGZ YOU HAVE TO SOAK THE RICE!!" and others have just straight up blitzed it from the packet. So now I'm like well do I wash it? Do I just blitz it straight from the packet? Some people say it's good for a month, other say a few months. Why do people have to do this to me? I just wanna make some flour!! Idk whether I need to wash it or not, and I don't know how long it will be preserved in the damn cupboard. Jesus, fuck it. I'm just gonna go to holland and barrett.
