Religion, Faith, and Spirituality : Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

Re: Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

There are factions among the Catholics, a left wing, and a right wing.

Francis is a Jesuit, which means he's a left winger, concerned with human rights and social justice.

The voices screaming against him are from the right wing, ranging from conservatives and 'traditionalist' Catholics, to outright fascists bordering on Nazism. There's a whole spectrum of extremism here - sedevacantists, the Society of Pius X, the Opus Dei, etc.

It's political, and it's being astroturfed:

You're like Gameboy. It's why you shouldn't speak on the subject. You don't get it at all.

There are no "Factions" politically. There is the word of God and our teachings from Christ.

You wouldn't know the holy spirit if he threw you out of an airplane.

Francis " views" on homosexuals and on climate change and everything else are his OWN!!!!!

NOT GOD'S !!!!!!!!!!!!

There, there, now. I know that fundamentalist extremists always react with rage and fear when confronted with facts. There's no need to be afraid. The sources will be available if and when you're able to take them.

Re: Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

As I suspected, you can't refute what I said. So all you do is insult me.

Re: Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

You didn't offer anything except unsourced claims and insults; nothing there to refute.

But it's funny how you're projecting that I'm the one who insulted you - you remind me very much of Blade13/TrollBait/ClownBaby/MonkeyDoctor from the Pit. Is that who you used to be?

This post like all of your posts has no substance. You're basically an empty vessel.

Well, my post apparently had sufficient weight that you not only replied to me several times, you also created a call-out thread, here:

Christianity. You're not.

If you don't believe in a literal Hell, you're an apostate.

If you don't believe in the divinity of Jesus, meaning you say he was just a Man, you're an apostate.

If you openly say there should be "Civil Unions" between MEN AND Men and Women and Women, you're an apostate.

If you changed the Lord's prayer, the very words that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spoke on the sermon on the mount, you're an apostate.

And to the idiots who are not spiritual. Who have never let Christ into their lifes, let alone their hearts, stop being ignorant and open your heart.

Not just your mind. Saying something inane as this, "It's not your call" makes you look like an imbecile and a Man of the World.

We are instructed to correct when someone falls short in their adherence to the Lord.

Acts 20:26-27,Ezek3:17-21, Gal6:1,Gal.2:11-14.

1 Timothy 4:12 Paul tells Timothy to set an example of Godliness . And Paul then admonishes the Ephesians in Acts :20:26-27,31,33-35 for failing to do so.

You flatter yourself. The call out thread was for someone else. But hey ur right that it does also apply to you.

You're a liar. The original version of it from five days ago, before you edited it, specifically cited my having told you, "Not your call," on the 'Pope Francis endorses same-sex civil unions…' thread. That's where the subject of the word 'apostate' came up to begin with.

Yeah, you're Blade13. If you weren't, you wouldn't keep avoiding that question.

Reviewing my archives, I'd forgotten you also went by 'Trump_FTW.'

Re: Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

I never edited it. That's first off. Second , you never address what I said. Cause you don't know scripture. But you see I DO! And anytime I make this kind of thread it's directed at Gameboy.

He knows that. I have sent about a 1000 of these salvos his way the last 13 years.

Anyway you're obtuse.
And I have wasted an insane amount of time on you.

I can see that was a mistake on my part.

Yes, you did.
Second , you never address what I said. Cause you don't know scripture.
You didn't cite any scripture in any of our exchanges; the only citations are in the call-out thread. (And supposedly that wasn't intended for me, remember? If that were the case, I would be under under no obligation to answer it. You simply can't keep any of this straight.)
And anytime I make this kind of thread it's directed at Gameboy.
You didn't make this thread, or the other one - unless you're admitting that Film|Boards1/El Señor Fernando PÓO is a sock of yours.

But let's look at the call-out thread, since that's where you're making claims.
If you don't believe in a literal Hell, you're an apostate.

If you don't believe in the divinity of Jesus, meaning you say he was just a Man, you're an apostate.

If you openly say there should be "Civil Unions" between MEN AND Men and Women and Women, you're an apostate.

There's no scriptural support for any of these claims.
We are instructed to correct when someone falls short in their adherence to the Lord.

Acts 20:26-27,Ezek3:17-21, Gal6:1,Gal.2:11-14.
Let's look at them.

Acts 20:26-27: "Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood of any of you. 27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the whole will of God."

Some observations: From a narrative standpoint, this is Paul addressing the bishops ('overseers,' v.28), offering a final farewell. There's nothing here about 'correcting' anybody; he tells no one to do anything like that. And it's worth pointing out that, in biblical passages like this, the prerogatives of Christ or of an apostle do not reflect the duties of the average believer, absent some specific instruction to do likewise. You're not the Apostle Paul, or even one of the bishops; you do not get to put yourself in his position of authority and talk down to others (supposedly only fellow Christians, not others in general). The passage does not give you license to do that.

Ezekiel 3:17-21: This is a passage from the Jewish testament, ostensibly God instructing Ezekiel to speak to "the people of Israel".
https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel%203:17-21&version=NIV
Again, you're not Ezekiel, and those whom you arrogantly harangue are not "people of Israel" (even presupposing supersessionism, where 'Israel' becomes 'the Church', it can only refer to fellow believers who would be under your authority if you were in that sort of position, i.e. a bishop). 'God' didn't make you a watchman for Israel; in the narrative, he does that of Ezekiel. You're not the prophet, nor are you an 'overseer.'

Galatians 6:1: The core of the original 'Galatians' was a Marcionite document, reflecting a gnostic milieu. Hence, "Brothers, if a man should be overcome in some sort of trespass, you Pneumatikoi should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourselves, lest you also be tempted." The 'Pneumatikoi' were Gnostic adepts, initiates into knowledge, higher than the psychikoi, unspiritual or natural men. The injunction to be gentle is an outgrowth of 'do to others as you would have them do to you,'; "lest you also be tempted" is to say, 'think if this had happened to you.'

Here again, you seem to arrogate to yourself the apparent position of authority; you assume that you're a Pneumatikoi, able to boss your lessers around. There is no "spirit of gentleness" underlying your 'corrections' - it's more a case of you namecalling and browbeating others because you think it's your Christian prerogative.

Galatians 2:11-14 is a conflict between apostles. You're not an apostle.

1 Timothy 4:12: "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." You're not young. And again, you're not setting an example for anyone except in arrogance and namecalling.
And Paul then admonishes the Ephesians in Acts :20:26-27,31,33-35 for failing to do so ('to set an example of godliness')
That is an incorrect characterization of Paul's farewell speech to the Ephesians; he speaks of no "failures," and there's no upbraiding.
Cause you don't know scripture. But you see I DO!
Apparently you don't.

Re: Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

He has never demonstrated his Christianity. He is a man of the World and always has been. All of his thinking is man based, what man wants, what man desires.

I would never listen to 1 word from this apostate.

I definitely MUCH PREFERRED Pope Benedict XVI and would've LOVED for him to have remained the Pope and to NOT have retired.

Re: Strict Conservative theologians question whether Pope Francis is really…

Жизни аватаров имеют значение …

The church would probably split if it weren't for the fact that the Pope controls so much of the money. I'm not up on how local parishes are funded. How much that is raised at home, stays at home? Some Protestant denominations send only a tithe of their income on up the hierarchical ladder.

Some Protestants believe the next Pope will be Peter II and have a great deal more power than Francis. There has never been a Peter II because it takes some chutzpah to adopt that name.
