Re: Favorite Movies of 1953?

Shane is the best movie from that decade. Without a doubt.

Re: Favorite Movies of 1953?

From Here to Eternity and Shane.

😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

Re: Favorite Movies of 1953?

The Wages of Fear was tense and terrifying in places. I give it 10/10.

Re: Favorite Movies of 1953?

I've been curious about this movie. Is it fast moving, or is it more conversational? I don't like adventures that spend so much time on movement, spending a lot of time with fixing a boat, or drowning, milking scenes that some might think "thrilling"… Action bores me.. Especially say a movie like "Kill Bill" where the opening scene is Uma Thurman surrounded by 100 ninjas. Everyone knows the main character isn't going to die in the first 5 minutes of the movie, so I have to sit there for a long time watching her (unbelievably) kill them all herself, sitting there waiting for the movie to move on.

Re: Favorite Movies of 1953?

It's too complicated a film to label it as either of the things you mentioned. Please give it a look. I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

Re: Favorite Movies of 1953?

I notice we share a lot of movie tastes, so I will try to check it out. Thanks!
