James Bond : What's so great about Thunderball?
Re: What's so great about Thunderball?
I agree. It's no big deal.
😺 Schrodinger's Cat walks into a bar, and doesn't. 🤨 Let's go, Brandon! 🤨 Try that in a small town.

I used to hate it, but now I can't stop picking it as one I enjoy revisiting again and again. It has all the ridiculous over-the-top shenanigans that make those 60s Bonds so nostalgic :)
Re: What's so great about Thunderball?
Agreed. Also, unpopular opinion: I prefer Never Say Never Again to Thunderball.

I also find the villains and henchman to be incredibly bland in this one, with the acception of the main hench woman. She's good and has a good presence, but they don't give her as much good stuff to do as they could.
The main Bond girl though is also really flat. She is totally hot and very goodlooking, probably one of the best looking in the series. But she is kind of light in character it seems.
In fact, Bond has even more chemistry with the opening Bond woman, at the clinic, compared to her.
I also feel that the villain's weapon was disposed conveniently by such a random deux ex machine character, which cheapened the climax for me.
But what do you think? Am I missing something, since it's a well liked entry?
