Terminator: Dark Fate : More bad news for dark fate
Re: More bad news for dark fate
They’ll probably still have another go in five or ten years time.
Re: More bad news for dark fate
Well, it was not a good month to release the film in. Should have been a summer release.

On top of it getting released at the worst possible time, the marketing team advertised it as if they have never watched the previous Terminator movies before; it was monotonous, and they didn’t really put much effort into it. Even a summer release wouldn’t have been enough to ensure that this movie would be a box office hit. It’s a shame though, because the critics have been raving about the quality of it, along with the futuristic visual effects that it has.

It may not be hit in summer release, but it would help them make more money than what they received now. Summer films, usually action, tend to rake in more money than expected while fantasy films usually did the best in November, December, and January (earliest). Some horror films would be a hit in October, despite of lower budget. Any other films in different months were either lucky, marketing did right, or well known, like Joker.
