There are six heroes in the film. Five are Chinese and played by Chinese actors/actresses, and the sixth hero is a European character played by Matt Damon. The character was specifically written as a white European role so Matt Damon didn't take a role that was written for a Chinese character.

This isn't a foreign film. It's a Chinese-American collaboration from an American company based on a script that was written by a bunch of white guys. So charges of selling out are valid since they cast a white actor in a story set in ancient China hoping it would make more money.

Ethnicity describes the culture of a population in a given geographic area. I read your other post about this movie and that's full of a bunch of racist *beep* too. Sure, Asian is a race because Mongoloid is no longer used as an anthropological term. And Iranians, at least the ones that you say are more related to Europeans, they are also Caucasian.
