kind of funny considering that Thora played younger version of her mother in "Now and then". I don't think Dakota looks like Melanie Griffith though

I actually think she looks like Gillian Anderson (circa 1993) when she was doing X-Files. Its the lips and the general shape of their faces. If they ever did a flash back scene for the new X-Files series, they need her for Skully.
