Henry - if you knew anything about the ANC you would know their record for getting any sort of bill passed is not stellar. Also, they would have to get it past the Constitutional Court. And the ANC don't have (and never have had) enough of an electoral majority to change the Constitution.

Besides, the part of the proposed Hate Speech Bill which would corcern the mocking of politicians is just a smokescreen. Not that the smokescreen aspect is cool either, but still.

The ANC are in deep trouble and their support has fallen off dramatically in the last two years. With an election coming up in 2019 they are a desperate bunch blowing a lot of hot air after a year in which the press, the former public protector, their own (and very honorable) Minister of Finance, the official opposition (the DA), their Parliamentary alliance partners in the Communist Party and the EFF have exposed them and their corruption ruthlessly. Only their support in the rural areas keeps them in parliament, but the 2019 election is going to be a game changer.

Now go and have that brain of yours seen to henrey.

Didn't he post around the holidays? Seems that I recall him mentioning some illness or infirmary was keeping him out of the loop. He was also having computer problems and didn't like having to use a tablet to post.

I was wondering if he was ill. He was quite a presence here.

He did make a couple of posts explaining his situation. I've looked through his recent history & I see the posts have been deleted. If he sees this we wish him the best & hope he feels well enough to post whenever he can. His presence is missed.

No doubt about it, I have always thought jimbo's posts are entertaining and wish him the best.

Yeah I remember he had a conversation with JeffersonCody a week or so after Trump won explaining he had been in hospital.

I thought he had posted something like that, but on checking his history I could not find it. Given the deleted threads and posts around here lately, I was not surprised it didn't show.

I know from experience that if one is feeling ill, this is not the place to be. Jim and I had our outs but we've also shared some good exchanges so it's much like life in the so-called real world - good days and bad days.
