NCIS : Stars are out and about

Stars are out and about

Left a bit late for lunch today, and was greeted with the sight of DMc/Ducky pulling his Volvo SUV out the back gate of the studio, right across from my parking spot. Drove along behind/next/in front of him as I made my way to the post office, and he continued down Valencia Blvd (maybe to wherever they are shooting on location today?). Got a chuckle, as he obviously doesn't mind being spotted, with a license plate of "DUCKY4". Now, if he just wouldn't drive like a little old lady

Now, if he just wouldn't drive like a little old lady

At 83, "little old" are the operative words .

Re: Stars are out and about

True, and so the "lady" part might be a bit harsh

with a license plate of "DUCKY4"

Jon Cryer probably owns the first three.

Re: Stars are out and about

Yep, my first thought was - either he owns the other 3, or Cryer beat him to the punch on one or more

Re: Stars are out and about

When it comes to actors like McCallum I have to wonder one thing: How the hell they can drive anywhere when we drive on the right and most places drive on the left?

I know DmC is a citizen and he probably doesn't drive in Europe as much as he'd like to, but I've only ever driven on American streets and I have a hard enough time.

I can only imagine what it's like to have the steering wheel on the other side and drive on the left

Re: Stars are out and about

I've done the left side while on vacation and staying to the left was easy. Initially the tough thing was judging where the left side of the car was because the mind doesn't translate, "it's the same distance away as you're used to the right side being from you." as well as you'd like at first. The thing that turned out to be the hardest at the end of the week was that I still turned on the windshield wipers every time I wanted to signal a turn - though that might have been because they had traffic circles instead of intersections most of the time and I didn't have to signal much.

Re: Stars are out and about

I'm left handed and dyslexic so *any* time I need to distinguish left from right I have to look at my hands and think about the one that I write with.

Re: Stars are out and about

Can't say for certain, but that might actually be an advantage in driving on the left side.

Re: Stars are out and about

It's amazing how easy it is when the steering wheel is on the other side of the car to drive on the "wrong" side of the road.
