I'm sure she'll be present at the premieres but I don't know about promotion. It depends on MM filming. Did you hear something (unofficial) about how much more will take ? I think that they are only at the half at this moment.

I'd love if he could cast her for his next untitled project about fashion industry set in 1950s London. It would be interesting to see Rooney playing another character from 1950s but completely different from Therese Belivet. Not to mention that she'd had a chance to star opposite her favorite actor. But I don't have much hope about this, it's almost like winning a lottery lol. Anyway, I doubt she'll be available next year, so that's that. But in the future, at least one PTA-Rooney collaboration is high possibility. I see no reason why this wouldn't happen.

And thanks for the interview. Yes, I've read this back then but every Rooney-Ehrlich chat deserves to be read many times.

Yeah, she did! Also her words on Mia Wasikowska are very sweet, I heard they have the same publicist or something like that.

But my favorite quote ever on Rooney is that one of Spike Jones for that NY Times profile:
She doesnt operate from a place of fear, Jonze says. Shes looking at the whole picture, and wants to figure out how to live her life.

If I remember correctly Rooney's flashback scenes are not in the ending in the film. So the editing here is wonderful

It's interesting how thei2000r characters in both 'Her' and 'Mary Magadelene' get separated. The tragedy of it all.

Her would be one of my favorite movies even if Rooney isn't in it but her scenes really elevate this film to something special. Chemistry between them in flashbacks is SO believable.

(I read somewhere that Her is actually loosely based on Spike Jonze's and Sofia Coppola's divorce. Even some outfits that Rooney wears in the movie are similar to Sofia's in real life).

Yes, I heard that too. It makes sense. I think Sofia used him in Lost in Translation as well. The way Giovanni Ribisi speaks in the film you cant help but wonder if he was playing Spike or at least a version of him. I heard somewhere that Scarlett was casted because she looked like Sofia. It's funny how she actually did back then. It's very subtle. The scene where she's walking around Kyoto felt very Sofia to me, Idk, lol. It's funny how Her came out exactly 10 years after Lost in Translation. Both great films.

What I liked about Her was not the plot but the cold palette, the futuristic/realistic vision of the future, and of course thanks to Rooney. I really loved Where the wild things are. And then you see those Jackass movies on his resum and you say what the hey!
