Public Morals : SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciation

SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciation

I knew it. Through the whole episode I was yelling at the TV, "No Smitty - don't trust him." "Don't go in the back." "Don't get out of the car!" Poor Smitty. Then, it was Rusty's tantrum of the century that did him in.

Terry and Charlie better earn their taxpayer dollars and kill Rusty twice. Kill him, bring him back to life just to kill him again. No holds barred on this scumbag.

I knew Smitty was too happy in this episode. It was just a matter of time.

RIP SMITTY - May you have an identical twin brother that shows up at your funeral, avenges your death and remains on the show until its conclusion.

Love your post.

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

Thanks :) As you can tell I am a fan of Mr. Kevin Corrigan. He is living art. I could watch him watch paint dry.

I had a feeling it was coming too. Loved Kevin in that role and for Ed writing a great ep showing Smitty's life.

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

It was an awesome role and a great character. I loved the episode up until the end. I love the show.

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

Agree. I've seen up to Episode 6 (that is the last one I had a chance to see). When Rusty was strangling Smitty I kept thinking, "Oh no, he'll get awayright?" because I just assumed Corrigan had been cast for a longer-term role. When it became clear that Smitty was in fact dead, I was pretty bummed.

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

I wasn't sure how many episodes he was on for, but I just got that feeling that he wasn't going to make it.

The scene with Smitty and his wife when he calls himself a bum was so great. The emotion on Smitty's face and the adoration for his wife when she tells him that he was never a bum but only needed a break was so amazing.

I wish there was a Kevin Corrigan app where whenever you're watching a program or movie, if Mr. Corrigan was a better fit for the role, you could click the app and it'd automatically switch to him.

I know science doesn't work that way, but a lady can dream.

Ha! I like the way you think, Melissa. (I was just thinking about "Walking and Talking" the other day, used to have a copy of it, guess i need to get a new DVD!)

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

P.S. Melissa - feel free to message back and let me know which are your favorite KC movies or roles. I haven't seen all of them, so I really need to catch up.

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

Cool! Here are my favorite Kevin Corrigan movies in no particular order

2B: The Era of Flesh is Over (one of my favorite films of all time - only available on the movie website)

Steal this Movie (everyone must see this movie. great biopic and I'm very critical of biopics)

Some Guy who Kills People (it's a slasher/whodunit but it has tons of heart and actually so many heartwarming scenes)

Scotland PA

Kicked in the Head

Ponies

Illtown

Results (available on amazon 9/22 - i preordered it now)

Slums of Beverly Hills (of course)

Big Fan (even if u don't like football - I don't - great movie)

Pineapple Express (all Budlofsky wanted was to go home to his wife!)

Henry Fool

Buffalo 66 (I love his portrayal of Rocky. Very realistic and respectful - and it shows how versatile he can be.)

I could go on forever LOL

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

oh and I love him in Walking and Talking too though I get so mad when he's referred to as ugly. I believe that's on Netflix for free right now or u can buy it streaming from Amazon. 90% of his films I just have streaming.

Living in Oblivion is another one he's great inwhat's odd about that one is his name in the credits is just assistant camera man but he introduces himself as Maurice in it.

I'm OCD if u can't tell LOL

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

Thanks very much! I've seen Scotland, PA and Slums of Beverly Hills. I have heard good things about a few of the others you mentioned, such as Results and Big Fan.

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

does he get any respect for being Uncle Jimmy?

Henry Fool and Slums are my favorites.

I don't let anyone hot-comb out my HAIRitage!

Re: SPOILERS - Ep 5 - Don't Read Unless U watched Token of Our Appreciat

He was amazing in Henry Fool. It's one of the only characters of his that I can't find redemption in. At first, I tried to blame the GOP because of the candidate he was pushing and lost - but then when he beat up his live-in girlfriend and the stuff with the stepdaughter came to light, I was like - nopeWarren's a horrible person.

If a production has Kevin Corrigan's name on it, you know it's gold. He's just brilliant.
