The Whispers : Man who drove Lena and Minx home
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
the entire cast's names finishing with Sean Lena Wes Minx. I just think he was another goverment agent
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
I think he was someone that got possessed at a young age and grew up. He did bring Minx and her mother home, which led to Lena's death. I guess he may have been helping Drill out.
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
If that was the case, he wouldnt need to write down, or take note of everyones name.
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
You must be young. The older you get, the harder it is to remember a name. He wasn't exactly a spring chicken and have you never heard of a checklist?
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
LOL
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
Haha seriously? So you're telling me that he is working with, or for Drill, but doesn't know the names of key people that are trying to stop Drillyes, makes perfect sense. You talking as though he had this long ass list of names to remember, when there was what, five or six names? And yes, i have heard of a checklist. But a checklist would have the names already written down, to be checked off. Meaning he wouldnt be writing the names down after dropping them off. He would already have them written down.
Also, something tells me that a being who is capable of traveling here from god knows where in the universe, can remember a list of names. Regardless of how old that being is. Not to mention that if he is someone who was possessed at a young age, what exactly has be been doing for the last 40-50 years? The other two Drills that were sent here were very clear on what they had to do. Find a child to possess, and then send a signal to the rest of his kind, so they would come here. Thats why Thomas killed the first one, and is what the current drill is trying to do. But yes, a third Drill possessed some kid over 40 years ago, but hasn't sent the signal, and is just hanging out. Again, you're right. That makes perfect sense

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
He was probably recording the order of events or people. Even if he was helping Drill, Drill might not have told him their names.
Don't judge my taste when you don't know if I have any.

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
It does not matter what Drill is capable of remembering. Based on his capabilities, he could use a more efficient method of getting to his objective if properly motivated.
Now, as an observation, I noticed that you mentioned the "TWO' Drills before him. Until the episode before last, I was not aware that even one had been here before him. I am directly stating that it sounds like you have read the books (which is certainly not a crime) but are trying to pass that spoiler knowledge off as insight.

Or maybebear with me herejust maybe he saw the same episode that you saw!
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
Or in the episodes that have been aired, they have never said there were two prior Drills, only one. So, from where did that information originate? It certainly wasn't from the show.
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
The poster you replied to (the one who is allegedly masquerading his spoiler knowledge as insight) was referring to the two Drills whom we know. That is, one Drill who was killed in the 1980s and one who is currently making the entire human race in this universe look even dumber than they are (which is an astounding feat, even for a hyper-intelligent, transdimensional energy ball).
When he mentioned the "third Drill", he was referring to the theory, posited above, that the old man was in fact another incarnation of Drill. He was responding to that theory, and in fact, he is suggesting the opposite.

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
Well, of things that can go wrong, not replying to the person you were responding to is one of them. That'a sure recipe for miscommunication.
I'm not sure what your horse is in the game, but he still implied that this was the third Drill. I guess all I know differently is that you believe is he got the idea from you. You could have just said that in the first place.

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
Hahaha wow. Khazmir, at no point did I imply, or even believe, that there was a third Drill. As Soylentmajority said, I in fact, did the opposite. The person who suggested that the old man was a third Drill, was Alex05222. Im saying that doesn't make much sense.
The problem here is not my miscommunication, as you put it. First off, I didn't respond again, because I hadn't been back to this thread. I cant very well respond to something, that I have not seen yet. Second, and I am basing this off of your previous responses, the problem is your reading comprehension. It baffles me that what you took away from that post, was that I thought, or was implying, that there is a third Drill. The entire post was me arguing my belief that there was no third drill that possessed that old man when he was a child. I also have absolutely no clue how you came to the conclusion that I got "the idea" from Soylentmajority. What idea? The only idea being discussed here, was again, mentioned by Alex05222. Which was "The old man is another Drill, sent here when that man was a child." All Soylentmajority was doing, was responding to the fact that you completely missed the point of what I was saying.
Also, and unless I am mistaken, which is entirely possible, because I have not read any material relating to this show, I was under the impression that the show is based off of a short story. Not multiple books.

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
You typed "The other two Drills that were sent here were very clear on what they had to do. .."
Go ahead scroll up and take a look at it. How else could that be interpreted other than three Drills?

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
Hahaha Wow. So we will try this one more time. Then im done. Alex05222 stated that he believes that the man who drove Lena and Minx home, was a third Drill who came here when that old man was a child, and possessed him.
I then replied with:
"If that was the case, he wouldnt need to write down, or take note of everyones name."
Clearly stating my position that I do not believe that the old man was Possessed by a third Drill as a child. Then, in a following post, I proceeded to give examples as to why that theory does not make sense.
Yes, I did indeed say that. However, you are somehow pulling that one line out of context from the rest of the post, and then claiming that I said, or implied, that I think that there is a third Drill. I did the exact opposite, in every post I made. I heavily implied that the old man, is just a man, and that there is no third Drill. Which is why the fact that you are still having trouble grasping this concept is so ridiculous.
One last time now, ok? YOUR reading comprehension is the problem. Thats something YOU need to address. Is the word comprehension giving you trouble?

Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
On the first page of the pad of paper, he had a few paragraphs written (they were mostly unreadable), and he listed "Bennigan", with the names Sean, Claire and Henry. He flipped to the second page, listed "Lawrence" and wrote Wes, Lena and Minx. I don't know if anyone can clarify what was written in the first few paragraphs. I tried pausing my DVR, but it wasn't clear enough for me.
Re: Man who drove Lena and Minx home
he`s a well known character actor and i would be extremely surprised if there`s not more to his role than we saw in the episode
